Our Finnish Thin Birch Plywood range is imported from the Päijänne Tavastia region of Finland. Widely regarded as one of the best thin plywood products in the world, it’s also PEFC certified (with FSC® available on request). Choose from a range of thicknesses from 0.4mm to 3mm.
Finnish Thin Birch Plywood has a wide range of end uses across the construction, furniture and design sectors. Its lightweight and flexible nature means that it’s perfectly suited for niche uses, such as scale architectural models. This product additionally meets the stringent requirements of EN71-3; which means that it can be used in toymaking too.

AB Grade
Highest Quality. Light face allows slight colouration and veins; plus curling grain and maximum 3 knots under 5mm in diameter.
B Grade
Slight colouration and veins allowed across the surface; plus slight flame marks and maximum 5 knots under 8mm in diameter.
BR Grade
Allows for more coloured chromatic aberrations; plus a maximum of 5 knots under 10mm in diameter. Cracks & wrinkles also permitted.
C Grade
Lowest Quality. Allows for chromatic aberrations; veins; flames; cracks; stains; and a maximum of 10 knots under 15mm in diameter.
